Piso Family
For anyone who wants to know the truth. Copy and paste the sentence at the bottom of this page into search window and see for yourself that you can be decieved by anyone if you do not check, check, check the facts and of course always look for evidence yourself before you swallow a lie like the Pisa hoax.
Here are some guidlines I follow: 1. Keep an open mind (throw out bias.Bias is often based on feelings and feelings are often unreliable. 2. Write down the claims being made. 3. Write down the support or evidence for the claims. (Don't use the word "proof" It is difficult to prove anything. The best you can do is gather enough EVIDENCE to support the probability of truth in a claim.) 4. Ask yourself, "Who is making this claim? What is his or her background? Can I varify their background? Does this person exist at all or are they using a fake name? What is their agenda?" 5. Can you reproduce the same research and arrive at the same conclusion? 6. Are they in the correct context? (Used when comparing and contrasting) Never believe what you read or hear until YOU check it out, check it out check it out. I am looking foward to some serious well thought out debates. The Arrius Piso as author of the New Testament theory is a hoax |

Correction PISO not PISA
QUOTE]It turns out that the tower isn't really leaning after all, but everyone who ever took a picture of it had their cameras tilted slightly.[/QUOTE]
Thank you for pointing out my misspelling. I guess this means my whole point is invalid because I type carelessly. On the other hand, I did enjoy your joke/play on words. Funny stuff.[ |

Thanks keyser_soze
I am aware most people probably know of the hoax. My point was concerning the endless parade of people on this site who tend to argue from the position of ignorance. They read a far-fetched theory, never check out its reliability, and spend the rest of the week, or until some other nut comes along, spreading misinformation to the fellow guilable dim wits. Perhaps I sould have labeled the subject field "Know what you believe and know why you believe it.
P.S. Try to ignore my spelling. I do know how to spell. I am a Lit. teacher after all. I just get lazy when I type. So, don't do it or I will do it to you and add on sentence structure, word choice etc. and miss the point you are trying to make. |
