Pledge - latest discussion on BB
Your friendly BB lurker here - there's a good thread on the BB, on the subject of Newdow's alleged "perjury":
http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=32;t=000395 I say "good" because the resident conservatives are getting a spanking from Morat and The Galatian. In particular, Helen's predeliction for accepting third-hand news reports as fact, over the official court transcripts, (you know, her being a Science Editor and all) is getting exposed and as usual she's ducking the issue. I particularly like this shot from the Galatian in response to the comment "Concerning Nixon, he did a lot of things that were not conservative." Galatian's response (my emphasis): I agree. He opened communications that led to diplomatic relations with Red China. He imposed price and wage controls. He was apparently faithful to his wife. He supported federal aid to education. Other than his support for segregationists and his role in Watergate, it's hard to see anything he did that was conservative. |
