One would think a good man would take a stained shirt and clean it instead of burning it. Apparently the Christian god can do this only while the person is alive. When the person has died, the Christian god becomes impotent, unable to clean that person, and has to send him to eternal torture.

I'm glad I don't believe in such a god. I'm glad I believe in a merciful God who takes every stained soul for cleaning and then gets them out of the cleaning-room into His holy presence. Truly this is a God I can worship!

A-hem.

Magus55:
Nope, God's omniscience is independent of free will. His foreknowledge, doesn't prevent you from making a choice - He only knows what that choice will be, because He sees the future as the present.

Care to come to EoG and defend that statement, Magus? I'll warn you that it requires you to discard either God's omnipotence, or his omnibenevolence.

I agree with Magus on this one. God's omniscience does not contradict free will.

Maybe so, but it is just as spurrious as Magus' god.

Magus, do you have anything of substance to contribute, or just uninteresting spam?

Secondly, why is your opinion more valid than anyone else's? You have never addressed this issue rationally. We do not accept biblical dogmatism as superiority.

Sorry! I was so sure that it was Magus' message, without reading who posted it! I'll go delete the message and sit in a corner now.
