...if the writer of this newspaper article would be appreciative of a few emails of support from fellow US atheists? He's in Memphis, and I doubt if he will be showered with praise from the local christian community.

Good article. I think I'll have to pass this along to our local morning radio guy here in Norfolk, who often expresses similar opinions, and will sometimes read good articles like this one on the air.

I don't know how religious Miami is, but I know that many people consider Virginia to be squarely in the Bible Belt, and there are still quite a few folks that will call in and support our local radio guy when he says something to rile up the religious listeners. So hopefully Mr. Weathers will get some support from locals with views similar to his.

More people need to become just as impressive in the public forum for the Age of Reason to flourish.
