It seems that most of the New Testament writers relyed mainly on the Septuganit-the Greek translation of the New Testament-when they qouted it. The main problem is, however, that in many cases the Septuganit was badly translated; some texts came out entirely different. For instance two prophecies of Jesus turn out, in the original Hebrew, to not be prophecies at all....

Hebrew: They are, like a lion, at my hands and feet....

Greek: They have pierced my hands and feet...

Hebrew:Behold, a Young Woman is with child....

Greek: Behold, a Virgin is with child...

There are also many other examples.

Question is, if there was no LXX, would the Evangilests have more trouble convincing people that Jesus was the Messiah?
