Default ghost ship mystery

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/asiapc...hip/index.html

So, what happened? Pirates? Sightseeing and forgot to turn off and tie up the boat? Aliens?

What's your best guess?

What do you mean testing? That was the rapture. There just aren't as many "true" christians as they think there are.

Most definitely aliens! Remember the old standby rule:

"When confronted by an unexplained mystery, assume it's the work of aliens. "

:notworthy :notworthy

I heard an Australian Federal Police guy on the radio this morning; the AFP reckon they're close to figuring it out, and they're acknowledging that piracy is the most likely explanation.

He said one thing I found interesting - that it is unusual for pirates to kill the crew. Sometimes one crew member will be offed to make a point, but usually pirates will just lock up the crew and ransack the boat.

I think they are being anally probed in some alien purgatory, along with the crew of the Mary Celeste.
