Post Which species of ape appears most "human" to you?

...besides h. sapiens, that is.

Kind of a silly question, but I find it interesting. In certain poses, gorillas seem very human to me, but they can also look feral and almost bear-like at other times.

Overall I would say the bonobo. This is based more on photos than personal appearances (saw some bonobos at the San Diego Zoo last month), but when I look at bonobos I seem to be seeing a "person" more than with other apes. They look more human to me than chimps, perhaps because chimps are so commonly degraded for comedy purposes and it's hard to keep that out of my mind...

Gotta be the bonobo. If only we were more similar to them in social aspects such as conflict resolution and tension release...
