Default I found a new god to worship

I will worship the greek god of war Ares,I am praying so that the god of war takes care of our troops in iraq.

I hope this god will give results.

Where would I find a statue of this god Ares.

Didn't you already post a topic with the same title? What is the point of these posts, especially in the GRD forum?

Ares, in Greek mythology, god of war and son of Zeus, king of the gods, and his wife, Hera. The Romans identified him with Mars, also a god of war. Aggressive and sanguinary, Ares personified the brutal nature of war. He was known for loving the violence and blood of war. He was unpopular with both gods and humans. Among the deities associated with Ares were his consort, Aphrodite, goddess of love, and such minor deities as Deimos (Fear) and Phobos (Rout), who accompanied him in battle. Although fierce and warlike, Ares was not invincible, even against mortals.
The worship of Ares, believed to have originated in Thrace, was not extensive in ancient Greece, and where it existed, it lacked social or moral significance. Ares was an ancestral deity of Thebes and had a temple at Athens, at the foot of the Areopagus, or Hill of Ares.
Inteeresting that you should chose this false god with his capricious love of random violence after whining about God of the Old Testament who is a loving God even when He judges mankind for man’s sins. Doesn't that make you a bit of a hypocrite?

Ares has just as much supporting evidence for his existence as Jehova does. When are you people going to realize that we have no reason to believe you over Aristotle?

...and, Esther, ineteresting how the irony just whizzes over your head.

Magus is, I deduce from the many posts of his I've read, incapable of collecting it in the nut also.

My i-metre needs to be replaced now, thanks mark9950.
Oh, and I'd mosey along to any of the Greek Pantheon Revivalist sites for an image if I were you.

since you missed the point in the first place, the others using big words like "irony" will probably just confuse u more, so to further simplify:

he was just making a joke.

plz dont tell me that YOU were making a joke as well (if it was, try to make them funny in the future, thats usually what makes a joke a joke )

Ares was the God of the primitive male sexual drive too... If you want people to follow you, maybe you should stress this aspect of his divine powers...

It would be more complicated even by the trinitarian idea to explain you why Ares symbolizes the primitive, male sexual drive ... although Bible readers have simplified everything and I am sure that they will have a good ON LINE reference to provide...

You can always read Diodorus of Sicily by yourself
