Dr. Dino on teaching evolution:
Real science, not evolution, should be taught in the science classes. Teaching the pagan religion of evolutionism is a waste of valuable class time and textbook space. It is also one of the reasons American kids don’t test as well in science as kids in other parts of the world. Source: Practical Steps to Fight Evolution

:banghead: Or maybe its because america is the only country in the western world to think there is some 'controversy' over evolution. :banghead:

I've been brought up in the school systems of both england and new zealand, not once did my science class say there was a 'great maker'. And both of these countries have no church-state seperation either... man the USA sucks...

hey, my school in england even had us sing religious songs in assembly, but as soon as it was science time, the world was billions of years old and there was no global flood.

And my world studies class in NZ taught about sumeria, and how the flood myth was likely a story stolen from them and their flood prone lifestyle... (by a teacher who i think led the schools xtian group!)

Hey, my public school has religion hours, but except that one the teachers never mention god (well, except one literature teacher who can be forgiven, she's one hell of a teacher!) and my biology teacher's fav' line is , when asking soemthing of a student, and he doesn't know the answer and says it like:

- The aorta is an artery, I believe...
- Hey if you wanna believe, go to the religion class, this is biology!

Man, i miss her durin' summer....

The difference about which Hovind is apparently clueless is between petrification and mummification. I have found numerous articles and news stories on the web about this dog, including by the museum at which it is exhibited, and except for Hovind they unanimously describe it as "mummified", i.e., dried out. The dog crawled into a hollow tree, got stuck, died, and mummified but Hovind actually says it turned to stone. The guy is a loon and I find it incredible that there are people who think he knows what he's talking about.

Or at least a pillar of salt.

Hovind used the "petrified dog" example as evidence against evolution during a "debate" up here in Minnesota a few months ago. Unfortunately, most of the crowd of 2000 plus lapped up everything he had to say.

Sadly, most people who view Hovind's debates just don't know any better and/or just don't care. He tells him what they want to hear and they buy it.

At the very least, he's a model example of how to fleece the ignorant.
