That the autrocities of God were just natural disasters and they just gave credit to their god?

Well the ordered slaughter of every woman and child in a city on the order of YHWH would be hard to explain away as a natural disaster.

Of course it was true. Do you see the sun moving nowadays? If Joshua (or whoever) hadn't stopped it, why it would be spinning around the Earth to this day.

Anyways, so The Powers that Be do not flush this right to ~~Elsewhere~~ . . . if one agrees that much of the Conquest is made up, then the autrocities represent a number of things:

1. Recreating a more glorious past that justifies claims in the future.
2. Explains the current situation--"Je'hphtaphlut did not walk in the way of YHWH. . . ."
3. Demonstrates that "Big Daddy" is their "Big Daddy" and he is powerful and will squish "those guys."

Where did this happen? Is there any extra-biblical source to verify the Bible's claim? I think something was supposed to have happened with the firstborn of every child in Egypt, however to date I haven't seen anything showing that that happened...
