Gravel Man! Creationist Jack Cuozzo's Latest Discovery
Creationist Jack Cuozzo claimed to have discovered two new human fossils from the Swanscombe Man fossil site in England. As it turns out, they're just a couple of chunks of siliceous gravel, and examination of thin sections of the supposed mastoid bone shows that it contains foraminifera! "It is, of course, quite impossible for a human bone, however fossilised, to incorporate a fossil foram." See Chris Stringer responds to Jack Cuozzo Wonder how that slipped peer review?
Of course, this is the same man who claims to see a mammoth fighting a dinosaur on a cave wall, a bullet-hole in another fossil human skull (IIRC), and that Neanderthals were just really old people. What Cuozzo lacks in credibility he makes up for in imagination, industry, and pure entertainment value. Patrick [ August 02, 2002: Message edited by: ps418 ]
|

LOL First rule of pseudo-science: Never let little things like "facts" get in the way of a good theory.
