a lot has been said about Leo X, he is the one who supposedly said "oh how profitable in so many ways is the Christian myth" Don't know how true any of it is, maybe he was unpopular and people made up alot about him. Idunno.

I wonder how long those little boys had to wait until they could pop out of the pudding. I bet that's how chocolate pudding originated.

Implying the same as you stated above Marduck. Myth....fable....all the same indicating deception of which we know they were guilty. It was pretty much standard operating procedure to lie and embellish the truth and an acceptable practice by the early church fathers. We can give many examples of the most holy pious individuals who had no problem at all with lies. Wolf Wolf |

http://www.hour.ca/columns/c_messy.asp?id=958 It concerns a talk by Charlotte Poe (which I have heard in person) based on a book entitled Sex Lives of the Popes by Nigel Cawthorne, published in England in 1996, claimed not to be readily available in North America - but Amazon seems to have it: Sex Lives of the Popes: An Irreverent Expose of the Bishops of Rome from St Peter to the Present Day The reviews charge it with tabloid-style unconfirmed rumors (but who would have believed the current scandal?) {edited to add - Amazon doesn't seem to stock it, but will try to find you a used copy.)
