Question Is Hell really that hot?

Hi fellow infidels! I was wasting my time thinking so I thought I would share. The subject today is Hell and why it makes little sense to me.

Our souls are separate from our body, right? So if we get impailed with a fishing rod and die our soul leaves our earthly body and ascends to heaven, Valhalla (my fav), or descends to hell (hot flames and flatulence). Only our earthly flesh and blood can feel pain (damn those nerves!).

Now, in order to feel pain you need a human body. But it's the soul that is sentenced to eternal damnation. If Satan jabbed you with a hot poker would you care? Hah, hah, Satan, that tickles.

I see what you mean, Zimyatin, but the christians are just going to say "It's magic!", or some variant.

Try "Dark Night of the Soul" (John of the Cross)

Surely the almighty and all-loving Creator can find some way of torturing his creatures forever.

Wink

Since one has an eternity to spend there, I imagine after a while, one would get used to it.

Hay Gemma Therese I'll make you feel the love if you explain what "Dark of the Night Soul" is all about.
