The Search for (Any) God
I hereby declare that the search for any god is officially over. No human past to present has ever been able to conclusively prove that any god exists, therefore it is irrelevant to human life and our planet. Organized theistic religion has done much harm, and continues to do much harm, to people and our planet and it's time to put these theistic fairy tales behind us. It's time for humans to face life and death squarely, without afterlife fantasies. It's time for humans to base all our decisions (personal and culture) on the here and now without reference to any god. If some god does exist, it apparently is not concerned with humans as it has not given us any evidence that it exists. Therefore, we are on our own. It's time for humans to find a better way to live in harmony with each other and with our planet.

Agreed. But I don't think many people out there are going to listen.

Wouldn't stopping the search for a god be inhumane to people who want to continue to search for a god, though?

Nah, the search for gods may keep employment up but there are no profitable returns.
PS: Damn, I never thought I would sound like such a capitalist pig . |

Why do people keep thinking that there is a "god" outside their consciousness? Be thy own god and decide for thyself ...(and heed no outside authority until it passes rigorous examinations)

Well, there are those always challenging us to "find Jesus!" Hell, I didn't even know I was supposed to be looking for him! Is there a reward?
