I doubt the authenticity of the jesus character
Even though I have no proof of this jesus I am leaning toward that this jesus and his father God were aliens and the jesus alien RESSURECTED IN HEAVEN by a laser beam from a space ship.
He was crucified supposidly died and rose from the so called death. I think the whole bible is the result of ancient peoples encounter with an alien race with the power to kill humans. God walks on the dome of heaven Elijahs fiery chariot Giants in those days Jesus going to heaven There is a fanscination with the heavens in the old and new testaments. Why? This could explain many contradictions and anomolies that exist, first of all an alien race with power and technology could really scare these ancient peoples in believeing that this alien was the so called creator with its demonstration of power. Think about what motivated these people to write about a God in the first place, something had to happen to motivate a belief that they at first had no idea of in the first place. |

This is basically the Raelian belief system. Raelians are just as foolish as Christians are in their beliefs, but yes, the Raelians have figured out ways to explain the Bible different from the Christians.

There's a fascination with the heavens in many ancient mythologies, with the exception of those developed by tribes that lived in dense forests. The heavens are an impressive sight, after all, and exhibit clocklike, predictable behavior. This could explain many contradictions and anomolies that exist, first of all an alien race with power and technology could really scare these ancient peoples in believeing that this alien was the so called creator with its demonstration of power. So you're replacing one powerful sky-being with another. Not much of a gain, that. Think about what motivated these people to write about a God in the first place, something had to happen to motivate a belief that they at first had no idea of in the first place. For the bible, it was called "Zoroastrianism", mixed in with several other pre-existing mythologies, themselves no doubt based on earlier mythologies. You don't need ETs to explain the beginnings of mythologies. |

I could accept that as a plausible explanation if it was proven to me that aliens contact man now. Since this has not been proven I see no reason to believe that aliens contacted man then, nor would they have needed to for people to create religions.

The biblical God
Is always described as a human form,Now would anything be different if God was a tree, mountain, volcano.
Even though the bible may be myth, there has to be something that started that myth in the first place. As for lochness for that specific what ever it is I do not know, but we do know that creatures similar to it did exist at one time. In todays age the main motivation to start a religion is money(do not give me that religious crap about starting a church),Way back then maybe this alien caused a religion.Jesus may have resurrected into heaven via space ship. |

Carl Sagan himself had once advocated that theory. Back in 1950, when he and some family and friends were at a very formal restaurant, he expressed that theory rather vehemently.
"But I say to you -- Jesus Christ was extraterrestrial!" From one of the two big biographies of Carl Sagan. |
