Do you not think its possible for God to continue creating new things to keep us satisfied? Time has no meaning in Heaven. It basically doesn't exist. Eternity goes by in like a day because it has no meaning. God can create the entire universe so complex, no one but Him can fully understand, all by speaking and waving His hand. I seriously doubt its a challenge for God to keep us entertained and busy forever.

Do you think it's possible for you to go and answer my follow up questions in the thread about Heavenly bodies?
You've had planty of time to dig through CARM or other apologetic sites looking for answers to my questiions including if infants stay infants for eternity in heaven. |

For eternity? No, unless there's an infinite amount of unique new things he could create. And even then, there's only so many variations on a theme that would be interesting. After the quadrillionth different universe you visited, spent an eternity in, even universes would become mundane. And also note that you would know god was creating the stuff, so there wouldn't be much mystery to anything. Like I said, after the trillionth rabbit god pulled out of his hat, most of the audience would be asleep, or hollering for a new act. Time has no meaning in Heaven. It basically doesn't exist. So, how could you be said to exist in heaven, experience anything in heaven, and how could god continue to create new things, if there was no time? Eternity goes by in like a day because it has no meaning. That's rather funny there, Magus. Time has no meaning, but eternity goes by in like a day. Does that mean eternity ends after a subjective day of being there? Do you have any concept of what eternity means? God can create the entire universe so complex, no one but Him can fully understand, all by speaking and waving His hand. It would be easy to fully understand it. "Goddidit" would be the explanation for everything. Mere rabbits out of a hat. And you'd have an infinite amount of time (if it exists, and it would have to for a "universe" to be of much interest to you) to investigate each universe, so one could examine each subatomic particle of each universe for as long as you want. I seriously doubt its a challenge for God to keep us entertained and busy forever. But wait...I thought it would be all over in a day? And if time has no meaning in heaven, doesn't even exist, then how can there be a "forever" to keep us entertained and busy in? Which is it, no time, or forever? You're contradicting yourself. I wish I could insert the song "The Entertainer" right here for your listening pleasure. God the Vaudevillian, the magician busy for eternity pulling rabbits out of his hat. |

of all the infinite possibilities for earth and us, THIS is the one we got, he lets his whole plan for humanity go to pot because of a talking reptile, and he can't even reconcile free will+lack of evil, much less find any better way than suffering for us to "learn through" (According to xians of course. Really logically, that's all just bunk.) He doesn't appear to be too bright, really. I shudder at the thought of an eternity with his incompetence. (But then again it's certainly in his nature to label boredom a sin and send any bored people to hell anyways.) |

You would think atheists would have better things to do than argue with a Christian over God.
Tell me, then, Magus, why do you spend time here discussing god with us? (This non-argument is frequently brought up by theists around here - typically when they're at the end of their intellectual rope. It's the second time I've seen it in as many days. And it always puzzles me, because it amounts to the pot calling the kettle black.) |

now, YOU however, get only this life...and this life alone...then cessation of existence. THe question is much more meaningful to YOU: "Why do you waste time arguing against nonexistant unicorns?" LIfe is precious. Enjoy it by living FOR something, not against something. BTW: all my pots are silver |

Im not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but Mormonism is ALOT like Islam.
In the Mormon version of heaven, a man and his polygamous wives will have sex for all eternity creating spirit children (though the parents are resurrected beings) to send down to their own earths that they've created. We become the gods, and then we do the exact same things that were done on this world. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. |
