Maclean's: Bible - Bad History?
This thread may be too 'fluffy' for this forum, but I'll take the chance anyway.
I am not sure if the Canadian news magazine Maclean's (macleans.ca) is carried in the US, but did anyone catch the latest issue? In it is an article discussing the authenticity of bible history. It's a bit short (shorter than I expected for being featured on the cover), but it touches on many issues such as the twelve tribes, the Jews in Egypt, King Solomon and David, and so forth. Interesting read, but considering my lack of knowledge in the area, I cannot tell how good or bad of a piece it really was. Your thoughts? Edited because I cannot type. I was able to find an article on the Bible and History by searching the archives for "Bible." It looked like a reasonable journalistic coverage of the issues, tilting towards Dever (it looks like they interviewed him at the recent Biblical Archeology conference.)
