Why do Christians claim Catholics aren’t Christians?
Why do certain Christians claim that Catholics aren’t Christians (or “true” Christians)?
I’m not too familiar with Catholic doctrine, but a Xian who I recently had a discussion with stated that Catholics aren’t Christians for they believe that the only path to salvation is through “god”, while Christians believe it is through Jesus. |

Because Catholics do not accept the new testament of Jesus Christ as revealed to Joseph Smith. As a matter of fact, that means most people who call themselves Christians aren't really Christians.
Unless they're correct, and Mormons aren't really Christians. (I had this argument with someone this morning, along with "Muslims and Christians worship the same God.") |

Go to your European history books and read about the period called, "The Reformation". The history of this period will explain a lot.
The battle between the catholics and the protestants is not over, they just have stopped killing eachother. One or the other claims the big prize. It is actually a good thing they are at eachothers throats, since it keeps them from getting us athiests. The word "christian" is one of the big prizes and the one who can claim it, wins. Watch out, and don't get caught between the two enemies' lines. |

I've heard Protestants accuse Catholics of "idol-worship"; they think that praying through saints and the Virgin Mary is blasphemous and worshiping gods other than, uh, God. "It doesn't say that anywhere in the Bible" is a common refrain.
Also, there is the idea that Catholics are "papists" and worship the Pope, or at least swear allegiance to Him. So they think he's "taking the place of God" or something in Catholics' lives. And Jack Chick thinks Catholics are Satanic. Hope this helps. |

This now means that I hold that all "born again" protestant bible thumpers are in hell. I will explain this to you as follows: They have been reborn from carnal desire instead of God and have been given a scorpion instead of a fish (Jn.1:13). They will answer here that it is all the same and there is no difference between these two in Jn.1:13. Of course they have to because they will never admid to their torment. I will skip 20 pages of reinforcement here and go to the mark of the beast which they warn against but themselves display with the three angels that fly through midheaven between Rev. 14:6-9 (notice that in my clock pugatory is midheaven between 6 and 9). The first 6 is their profession of JC as lord and savior and want you to be like them. The imagery of "the witch flying a broom through midheaven" is/was used to describe their lofty ideal and to stay aloft they must burn daily scriptures (lest they crash and loose their salvation). The second 6 is their wild proclamtions that Babylon the great has fallen. The RCC is the whore of Babylon. Your post confirms this. The third 6 is the angel that followed the other 2 warning people of the number 666 and the wine of Gods wrath that they themselves have drank full strength. Hence, the smoke of their torment that rises forever and ever and is known all over the world today. Their problem? The "paradox sinful yet saved" as explained in verse 12: they have faith in Jesus and keep the commandments. This means that you must either be saved and set free from the law (Gal.5:1-5), or be not saved and be bound by the law. Can't have both or they will die in midheaven which so becomes hell until they die two deaths at once. Amos |

Catholics kill Protestants; Protestants kill Catholics; they both take some time out to persecute other religions; and the cycle continues. |
