Take that, anti-Potter-ites!
I saw this article the other day in my newspaper, and am surprised no one's brought this up yet.
Can't you just see those anti-Harry Potter folks now? "What? The pope says Harry Potter's OK? The Rapture must be coming soon!" And we all know the pope is infallible ... I can't wait to see if there's a reaction to this! |

Since the types of people who think Harry Potter is satanic are usually also the types who think that the Catholicism isn't "True Christianity" and that the Pope is the anti-Christ, I'm sure it will probably just strengthen both beliefs even more.

Exactly MW...the Southern Baptists are leading the anti-Potter movement (they think everything is satanic or promotes homosexuality the freaks) and they think the RCC is the very "Whore of Babylon"...this will be a reinforecement for them "See, we told you so!!!"

Regardless of what the Pope says, Harry Potter is still god-awful.. it's good kindling, but has few other practical uses.
