Don't get me started on those jerks
They apparently thought I was a protest "organizer" because I walked down to the corner drugstore and bought posterboard and markers when a bunch of us showed up and realized most of us didn't have signs. Since we were using ham radios to keep an eye on what was going on at the backside of the building, they caught my callsign. They then looked it up in the FCC database and used it to get my name, address and phone number. Wanna guess who started getting threatening phone calls a day after the protest?
And a pair of the Sea Orges tried to tail my husband when he left for work. Good thing for him they're just as lame at pursuit as they are at everything else. Reported them to the phone company and the police, then changed the phone number. When we moved, I didn't update my FCC entry (didn't matter by then, because the HT had died so I wasn't doing any talking on the air anyway). My crime? I carried around a sign that said "Church of the Holy Lawsuit." I was one of the protesters at the first protest of the SF org that also included now-hounded into silence critic Grady Ward and hounded-to-Canada critic Keith Henson. The "church" of $cientology is both lame and scary. And all this happened before Lisa McPherson died. It's gotten much scarier since. |
