In Defense of Inteligent Design
If any one has any real evidence for ID, I'm more than interested in real discourse. I'm starting this thread in response to ARN Peanut Gallery.
Should anyone wish to have a rational debate, I'll gladly look at any rational falsifyable evidence. Also, because I'm one of the few thiests here I don't believe anyone can accuse me of a "Naturalistic Bias." So go to it, boys. IC Douglas, Len, Geo Theo if you want to chip in, or anyone else...this is the place. All I'd ask of my infidel friends is no ad-homs here. I think we need to prove that we can discuss this in a rational manor. In Darwin... Chris (Bubba) [ November 30, 2002: Message edited by: Bubba ]
|

Will "Yahweh is the Lord" encoded in base 4 in the genome suffice?
How about virii exhibiting remarkable gene-splicing abilities when exposed to Morse code-like electromagnetic impulses? How about experimental confirmation that cosmic rays guide evolution in a non-random manner? Oh, wait, this is intelligent design, not real science. Let the false dichotomy of "refuting evolution proves ID" begin. |

Would it be worth putting in the proviso that only positive evidence for ID be discussed. Too many online debates about evidence for ID descend into evolution bashing which is then regarded as evidence for ID.
From what I understand there are some ID sympathetic scientists that have endeavoured to frame the evidence for ID in a positive manner. It would be nice to discuss their ideas. If the ID advocates are interested in discussing their ideas then Bubba's thread may prove to be worthwhile. Xeluan [ November 30, 2002: Message edited by: Xeluan ]
|

Notice how no one advocating ID has posted so far?
I'm very willing to discuss any real evidence with any IDer. And I'm serious about not having an anti supernatural bias. If we are really wrong in the ARN penut gallery thread...where is the evidence? Bubba |
