If you were to study some of the Medieval Doom Paintings found in European churches, you would already know that only the hellbound keep their naughty bits. Apparently genitals fall off at some point on the stairway to heaven.

Well, I'd say that marks a total collapse of
FastFalcons faith now. First it's soon,
then when pressed maybe
20 years. When taken up on that, it moves to
40 years. Basically, just beyond his reasonable
lifespan so that he won't have to suffer a
lapse of his beliefs as he lies on his deathbed,
still waiting for the rapture.

Oh yea of little faith!

This "the end is near!" approach is simply the
same marketing scheme used by retail outlets.
"On sale for a limited time only!". "While
supplies last!". etc etc etc. Same approach,
create a false sense of urgency, they're just
selling a different product (Pascal's wager).
Too bad it's all snake oil.

Otay, Father Falcon. I've read the Rapture Manual. And it's unbelievable! Like everything pertaining to god of course. I've copied the first few sections and will dissect them for you, because that's what I like to do.

IT SAID:
However, it (rapture) is complex because it is life changing and based on that which we cannot see; it is based on faith. Simple, because Jesus
does all the work. If you want to be saved and have eternal life, simply pray in belief and humility to Lord Jesus.
I SAY:
Based on that which we cannot see, it is based on faith; this is problem numero uno with god. We not ever see him. We not ever touch him. We not ever see any real evidence surrounding his existence, but we are supposed to just have faith.

IT PROVIDED A PRAYER FOR US TO RECITE:
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and ask you to forgive me of my sins and prepare for me a new heart. I surrender my life to you."
I SAY:
I surrender my life to no one, because, emphasis on "my" means I call the shots. I don't need forgiveness for my sins, for I have already felt the pain of their wounds (it's called guilt, repercussions, consequences)

IT SAID:
Now change the way you live your life so that it is in accordance with God's laws.
I SAY:
No way, not in a million years will I begin to chastise homosexuality, belittle women, promote male dominance, treat animals like my own personal stash, pray to anyone, pretend that what I have is the result of someone else, change my manner of dress.....(NEED I GO ON ) I would not do any of these selfish, self-centered, intolerable acts, because I am a nice guy. Ahhhhhhhh.

IT SAID:
If you have done this prior to the rapture, get a Bible and start reading and studying it. Go to the Lord in prayer every day asking for guidance as to how to live.
I SAY:
No way, again. I don't need guidance from him. I just need my own feelings. My own logic and reasoning. Everything else will fall into place.

And all I say is that I Spectulated that the Cubs would win the Series before your Rapture came. To get back to the beginning, I Spectulate that the rest of the prophecies you cited are as slippery as your Rapture when it comes to pinning them down as to specific dates, places, times and people. To take some obscure mystical utterances out of context and try to apply them to past, present or future events may be a fascinating mental exercise but in the end that's all it is. The New Testament book of Revelation is no more or less valid as a source of predictions about the future than the Centuries of Nostradamus or any of a thousand similar scribblings produced before or since.

1Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
Let's see how fast you really are.
This is your first piece of evidence that will lead you to the truth.

Note the text in bold above. The author (Paul?) includes himself as those who "are alive and remain". The word "we" also implies that he expected many in the audience to be alive and remain to see this event. Note that he does not include himself among the dead which will rise first. If Paul believed that this event would not happen within his generation then he would have stated it differently. Something like "first the dead in Christ will rise then those who will still be alive in those days ...". See the difference?

So Paul expected to be alive when this event would have taken place. This was back in the first century.

More evidence to come. Stay tuned.

1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Who is Paul talking to? The Corinthians!
He is telling them that "we" shall not all die, but shall all be changed.

Now just picture the assembly of Corinthians listening to someone reading Paul's letter.
What do you believe that they understood by this. Did they think ... "Ah, this wont happen for another 2000 years, so why worry" .. or did they think that Paul was saying that maybe some of them would be there when it happended?

More to come ...

Curious that no one seems anxious to try and process this little tidbit.
