Our popularity grows, first banner ads, then an upgraded server, web traffic increases, then a political nomination to office. Soon, we'll be running a state, and then a country and finally the WORLD!

That whole thing is a direct copy from the "Therefore, God exists" thread, which is in Humor, IIRC. It may be archived, so the Search won't find it- if anyone has the link please post it here.

I thought it was amazing that some of the people at Fark actually thought the list was serious.
I also thought it was amazing that someone there actually took Anselm's argument seriously, even saying "It's the only one that hasn't been refuted." I think Anselm can be refuted without breaking stride, but maybe that's just me. Rob aka Mediancat |

I can think of a few more:
ARGUMENT FROM FONDNESS (1) I like God. (2) Therefore, God exists. ARGUMENT FROM TRUE FAITH (1) God wouldn't let a true believer lose faith in Him. (2) Atheist: But there have been lots of theists that have converted to atheism. (3) Ah... but God wouldn't let a TRUE theist lose faith. (4) True theists still have faith in God. (5) Therefore, God exists. ARGUMENT FROM "WHAT THE HELL?" (1) God is an omni-necesssariable, unperceiveablized being that is hyper-transcendentalistally existamental, which means that our sub-contingentalistic empiricized existences must have been intelligistically designerated subductively according to His anti-comprehendistic plans of the creationablism of a logistically-driven materialisticated reality. (2) Atheist: What the hell? (3) See, even a non-believer believes in Hell. (4) Therefore, God exists. |
