Wink Cain and Abel

Here's a story intended to be amusing:

Lots of other stuff on the site, although it's all just in the beginning stages so far.

There are some problems with your exegesis. You seem to be reading detail into the history which is not contained in it. For a start, that Cain and Abel and Adam were the only men alive at that time. Not necessarily.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Adam does not appear on the scene until Gen 2;15. Its not clear whether Adam was the only man, or the only moral man, in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden tale is specifically about the first moral man. There may have been many other animal like humanoids walking around at that time.

Interesting .... story / viewpoint .....

I like this statement .....

That's my "interpretation," and it's just as valid as any Christian "interpretation." Ah, those good old biblical times...

I use versions of it quite often ....

Yep That's my story and I am sticking to it .... Nobody saw me and you can't prove it.

For an interesting take on the Adam & Eve story (covering Cain, Abel, and Seth as well), read Mark Twain's The Diaries of Adam and Eve.

An excerpt.

Old Man,
Actualy, Adam is created in Gen.2:7 so I would hold that verse to be his introduction. As for "reading detail into the history which is not contained in it" just how do you dig out anyone other than Adam, Eve, Cain, and Able in this story? Let me tell you Old Man, if it had not been for Mother Eve we men would still be tending gardens whose fruits we could not enjoy. Mother Eve took the slave Adam and broke the chains that bound him to God.
Mother Eve took on the Almighty and won. She took dirt and
created humanity out of it. It was a woman that fought God for us. It was a woman who changed creation and arrayed it in our favor. It was a woman Old Man, and you have the nerve to tell them to hush in church.
