Default Evolution Is Dead

After much deliberation I must admit that I have been swayed by creationists arguments about the validity of evolutionary theory. Ignoring the fact that the origin of life has nothing whatsoever to do with the subsequent process of evolution, it wont stop me attacking evolution from this tangent.

Basically, I just can’t accept that life spontaneously popped up from a completely random (and as yet undefined) concoction of chemicals under an as yet undetermined set of physical circumstances.

Surely as men of logic and science you can see that this idea is too preposterous for words. It borders on the realms of myth and fantasy, and we must be limited to hard facts and evidence. Are we to believe that some mystical forces beyond the physical world and all it’s constraints was at work? That’s poppycock and you know it. I don’t believe we should entertain any idea of the sort.

No. In the same way that electricity didn’t exist before someone explained it, life cannot simply have happened spontaneously until you can fully explain the process, and then generate some yourself. Sherlock Holmes himself told us that when all other possibilities have been eliminated, the only remaining possibility must, by definition, be true. Thus the only logical conclusion we can (and are duty bound) to draw is that a big fairy came down from the sky and waved his magic wand.

Also, the central tenet that man evolved from apes is too ridiculous for words. If this were true, surely all small children would like bananas.

And are we to believe that a complex organism such as man, the most successful species on earth, just evolved from a single celled lump of self replicating jelly floating around in a nourishing soup? Bollocks! How is it possible for such a simple, useless life form to take on all the impossibly complex multitude of attributes of physical form and intelligence that characterises mankind, and places him at the zenith of existence? Simply put, it can’t, can it. No more than a lump of rock can become Concorde. Surely you must see that? And all this in just 9 months? In the comfort of a woman’s womb? Come off it! Pregnancy is nothing but a cynical lie to get preferential treatment in bus queues. The answer gentlemen is in the sugar bowl.

On reflection, I withdraw the point I made about bananas.

And you can bet your bottom dollar that scientists across the globe are using their sinister tools to furtively inject packages or complex DNA into unsuspecting ova as we speak, almost always under the cloak of utmost secrecy. What is the world coming to? Have they no sense of shame? It’s disgusting. I don’t care if they are married or just consenting adults I’m with St. Paul on that one

He doesn't have to "believe." He knows the truth. It should be obvious that a book handed down to a collection of sheep chasers four thousand years ago, then retold and retranslated countless times speaks the TRUTH.
