"Although we are bound by ignorance, we have the ability to LOOK. Therein lies our capacity to realise our potential, and change 'things'. If you KNOW that you are setting the world on fire, and that millions of lifeforms will perish, and that children will be deprived of soft undulating hills, dashed by flowers and butterflies, then surely it would be folly to encourage your actions, on a notion so fickle as fate?

If YOU don't CARE that you know you are setting the world on fire, then I question why you don't care, what you hope to gain, or if you have lost your will entirely FOR LIFE, in which case, fate has overcome will "

My reply : You are bound by ignorance but you are not looking. Even if the fire burns the world away, life will strive another time.

Didn't life strive back after the dinosaurs died out in the masses extinction? Some say it is caused by falling meteors, closest we get to setting the world in fire.

As long as there is this world, there will be life here despite of everything that happens to it. With that in context, I will be another player in the game of life and death.

Yes, that was funny. Rather like feeding a 'poison baby' to the dogs. But who poisoned the baby ?

An I will emerge from the ashes, caused by an I, and that I will wonder why I caused myself to emerge from ashes that were poisoned by I

My qoute : You are bound by ignorance but you are not looking. Even if the fire burns the world away, life will strive another time.

"yes I am, and that is true"

My reply : Look harder, not only from your point of view but also from the greater picture.

My qoute : Didn't life strive back after the dinosaurs died out in the masses extinction? Some say it is caused by falling meteors, closest we get to setting the world in fire.

"Yes, that was funny. Rather like feeding a 'poison baby' to the dogs. But who poisoned the baby ?"

My reply : Nope, bad analog again. Once the earth is cleanse (like after the fall of a meteor), life will strive again and humanity could emerge once again (depends on how tough humanity is, my bet is that they will emerge ... they are tougher to kill off than a cockroach ) and maybe this time they will learn to take care of mother nature properly.

As for who poisoned the "babies", who is to blame for that? Me? You? Our Forefathers?

"An I will emerge from the ashes, caused by an I, and that I will wonder why I caused myself to emerge from ashes that were poisoned by I "

My reply : Maybe because you haven't accepted death and seek to escape from it ....

and we find the answers easy to ignore, which is when we keep asking the same questions and falling down the same hole.

Lying to our self is alarmingly natural

Me: You are the question and within you is the answer.

sweep: "and we find the answers easy to ignore, which is when we keep asking the same questions and falling in the same holes"

Me: Not only do I NOT ignore the answers, they pose even deeper questions which lead to a more profound understanding of SELF.
You, sweep, are the one that ignores and keeps falling into a hole of your own making.

sweep: "Lying to our self is alarmingly natural."

Me: I am very honest with my self.
It appears that lying to yourself, sweep, is the
alarmingly UNNATURAL.
You are troubled, sweep,
I am not.
You, sweep, are the victim of your own personal self-dishonesty.
Wallow in it, but don't splash mud.

thank U captain obvious. I am aware that I am shit. I am less certain each day, and more accepting of everyone else. Who am I to look down on others, or, even, to look up at others, since I can't measure what I cannot see.

Splash mud on you, you mean? How can I dirty what is already clean? Unless...

perhaps the message was for those that are already dirty, and not for you who is already clean. yes?

please understand that I am not making a personal attack, nor am I offended by being viewed as a 'pig' splashing in mud. The question is whether it is possible to 'dirty' something that is already clean

another view is that my intentions were not to show that eclectic eye is dishonest with her/his self, but so that people might relate to this fact of human nature, and perhaps, in doing so, become more honest if they so wished

cheers Grizzly
