Literally true, FWIW. I have recently discontinued my medication. That doesn't change my beliefs--I had the same ones before--but it does make me worse at defending them.

If you mean "unprovable" as in "NOTHING can ever be totally proven" then yes, unprovable's not always unreasonable.

If you mean "unprovable" as in "I pulled these facts/figures/deities out of my ass and can't back them up in any way, shape, or form", then yes, unprovable *IS* unreasonable.

I'd say what I mean by "unprovable" is that the belief in gods is based on private experiences, so that if someone hasn't had those experiences they may not be convinced. So it's neither of those things. Nor is it true that I "can't back them up in any way, shape, or form"; I've been doing it. Ironically, the seeming admission of irrationality is itself largely a result of emotional thinking; I was just feeling frustrated.

I don't claim to have experienced the atheist gods. They're a hypothesis, people. A hypothesis about why atheism is succeeding. And BTW, how is it contradictory to say that a god causes atheism?

It is impossible to back up a subjective personal experience of a deity that can't be directly seen or inferred.

Think about it. A god. Of not being convinced gods exist.

What a stupid, pointless, irrelevant god. The question of whether it exists or not would be moot, because it'd never DO anything.... Not unlike the other gods in your panatheon, actually.

Why invoke a deity to explain something when none is needed?
