I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Nothing in their about Heaven, but nothing about only Christians being resurrected either. What will Christians do on earth all day long, after being resurrected? |

Revelation 4:8-11 8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. 9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, 10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. I guess you better hope you are unworthy of being near the throne of god. |

"When we've been there 10,000 years bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing Gods praise than when we first begun." Even as a kid, this song gave me the willies. It made me think of heaven as an eternal church service where we would have to sing through the entire hymnal only to start over when we reached the end. I don't think I ever recovered from that image... |

Shuffleboard.
Seriously, it seems that conceptions of "heaven"--for societies that had something like a heaven--have developed with time. We have moved from a locative conception: we-here, gods-up there, underworld-down there, to a more diffuse concept. Development of belief is an uncomfortable proposition for some who hope that what they believe in is true. --J.D. |

No sex in heaven. Matthew 22 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. That doesn't say there'll be no sex in heaven. Magus said: I can tell you however, sex and virgins won't be an option. How do you know there'll be no sex in heaven? |

Bah, Magus is right...no sex in heaven.
No matter...wasn't going to get into that particular heaven anyway, if it indeed exists. |
