Where Do The Stars Go To During The Day?
I've always wondered about that. You only ever see photographs of the stars at night time don't you. When my kids ask me I've never been able to answer them properly. I just mumble something and rush out of the room to save my embarrassment. Does anyone know? Perhaps they just stay in. I know I would if I had a swimming pool.

Boro Nut. If I wasn't so hot for someone else right now - I'd be in love with you.

And here's the question she asked: 'what are eyes made of?'. Holy fuck, how do you answer a 3 year old that?! Luna chick wrote Quote:

They don't go anywhere special, they just hide.
Behind the curtains. You know, the pale blue one that covers the sky? |

Boro nut: why, to star bed, of course.
Puck: if it ever comes up again, just say "water, mostly." Not only is it true (at least by weight, assuming fresh eyeballs), but you can wing it from there. Throw in a few references to proteins and collagen and you're set. My question is still "Where's Waldo?" |

It's the same thing as one-way vision things. Consider the solar screens on our house. They are like windowscreen but 80% density. During the day we can see out though them fine just about as if they weren't there (they do add a bit of grayish tinge but it's not all that noticeable). However, someone on the outside looking in will see an image composed of 80% grey at outside light levels and 20% what's inside at indoor light levels. This comes out being simply grey--they can see nothing even if we stand right at the window. Of course at night it works the other way around, we see nothing but people could see in. |

Oddly enough, the kids don't ask me those kinds of open-ended questions very often. |
