Post Help with Geology class.

My professor is giving people extra-credit for turning in abstracts of scientific articles relating to geology. I need abstracts from 24 articles to turn in for all the extra-credit, and I was wondering if you guys & gals could point me to some of the more interesting geology papers you have read.

I assume you have to write the abstracts? Science News has lots of short Geology related articles, but if you need full blown geology articles go to Geological Society of America (GSA) or Geotimes or American Assoc. of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) in the periodicals. These are just a few. Hope this helps.

I recommend working backwards through science and nature since the articles are short and selected for wide interest. There are a couple in Nature this week about the timing of core formation, for instance.

I don't have to write the abstracts, I can just print them out.

Basically all I am asking for is some (preferably online) specific geology articles that anyone thinks are interesting that I can read, because I'm supposed to read the articles. My professor wants abstracts as evidence that I read the articles.
