Angry Religious Span I Got Today

(and they didn't even provide an opt-out link, either...)

Why do some people seem to have success with everything and have it 'all together'?

Because they follow this simple principle: they read the book of Proverbs in the Bible Daily.

It is called the 'Book Of Life' for a reason. There are 31 proverbs and they simply read 1 a day each day of the month.

How can YOU get started?

1. ) Get a Bible ( I recommend any of the new living translation or NIV:
{ new international version } Bibles, because they are very easy to
understand and can be found for as little as $2-3 dollars.)

2. ) Turn to Proverbs, whatever day it is, start with that # Proverb.

3. ) Do it EVERY day then repeat the following month till your success is
achieved.

Only 5 minutes a day, thats all!

Then watch what happens.. I and many others are passing this simple secret on to you now.. I challenge you to try it.

You will find that ALL the basic principles of having success in anything are right there. I promise you.

Yes you will also realize that God has a plan for you no matter what if you just turn it all over to him.

Really think about it... WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOOSE? If this is right EVERYTHING changes in your life.

If you believe I may be wrong, you will have only lost some time..

You can get started right now. 5 MINUTES, it is that simple...

What a bag of shallow-minded and inconsistent insights.

Some of the Proverbs aren't too bad. This one's one of my favorites:

5:18-19 May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
A loving doe, a graceful deer-
may her breasts satisfy you always,
may you ever be captivated by her love.

Reading a chapter every day, though. How much exhortation against adultery does it take to keep a xian's pants on?

It has a load of cautions against screwing whores. Apparently, believers have a weakness for prostitutes.

What kind of slack-jawed yokel needs FIVE minutes to read a single proverb!?!?

Edited for efficiency

Living in a city that the Promise Keepers frequent, I would say that fidelity must be a real challenge for them. To make such a public spectacle of not cheating on your wife or abusing your children seems to be an over-compensation for something.

Not unlike saying, "Look at me! I am using a fork! I am only eating from my own plate!"

Do you have time?!?! This is about God.
Subject: Do you love him?

"Lovely pic of Jebus with angels here"

I don't think I know 10 people who would admit they love Jesus.

Do You Love Him?

This is a simple test:

IF YOU LOVE JESUS, SEND THIS TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO
SENT IT TO YOU!

THE POEM

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

Now do you have the time to pass it on?

This was the latest I received. The unfortunate sender got back three pages of why I neither love God nor believe in Jebus

Have we ever argued why the need for God to keep a book with people's names listed? And since they can't be in alphabetical order, how the hell does he find anyone after the initial listing.

Could God have been the bookkeeper at Enron?
