I have been having an argument with a German about God and he say's he's called Got, and that he lives in a himmel. What if he is right after all? The Germans don't make many mistakes except picking the wrong side in world wars. I can't see him calling himself Dieu though, it doesn't even sound like God. But that's the French for you. Who is right? We should check it out. We dont want to all end up in H�lle.

I think Christians across the globe should assemble in Yorkshire and hold a second Synod of Whitby to agree a univeral name for their deity..

And having sorted that out, they might move on and consider the question of homosexual bishops...

Ahem. Them german word for god is Gott, with 2 "t"s. And Himmel is a noun and should thus be capitalized. And it's "we don't want to end up in der H�lle.

I certainly hope not. I don't want to end up eating sauerkraut, red cabbage and endless variations of pork for the rest of eternity.
