Gog and Magog
With all this war stuff happening, I'm wondering if the battle of Gog and Magog might be related to this? Also with all the talk about planet x coming soon and in the bible how it says the moon will be blood red, etc, relates to what planet x will look like if in fact it does exists and it does come around. Is the end near?

No. Also with all the talk about planet x coming soon and in the bible how it says the moon will be blood red, etc, relates to what planet x will look like if in fact it does exists and it does come around. No. Is the end near? Of reason, perhaps. |

Yeah, I'm going to Planet X to watch the Gog/Magog fight.
I'm taking Magog in the 7th with a KO. |

On my way home from work in the mornings, I am constantly amused by this one family that lives a few blocks away from me. In their drive are two vans, one from the 70's and one from the 90's. The one from the 70's has painted on the side "Repent, the end is near". The one from the 90's has this SOAPED on the sides "Repent, the end times are near". Two things are telling, besides the obvious mental defects....1) The fact that the first van is rusted, and the words almost faded away, even though they are painted. And the second 2) the fact that they soaped the words onto the new van. Can anyone see the irony in my story? It puts me into laughing fits every time I pass by them. I picture wooden wagons in front of some pioneers home in the 1800's. I picture it painted onto a sail on a ship in the 1500's. I picture it on a stone sign during the decline of Rome. And I picture them all fading away with time. It just makes me chuckle.

Perhaps when they talk about Rome and other such ancient things in Revelation, they mean just that. So, perhaps when he says Gog and Magog, he refers to whatever that was 1900 years ago, and not something today???
Rev 1:3 ....... and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it; for the time is near. Perhaps the author meant his and his original audiences times, and not today... Perhaps it is an awesome religious book, but not an accurate forcast of the future??? The Bible is infallible crowd trips me out, in one place they say, the Bible is to be taken literally, then in another place they say, the Bible is to be taken figuratively. Please skip the koolaid, your dogma aint worth it Bubba, |

I always thought the idea the Soviet Union being Gog and Magog was pretty funny and not well thought out on the part of Jebus worshippers.
For one, the antiChrist is supposed to pretend he is a godly man and rebuild the temple, and two the nations of the world mourn when the whore of Babylon is destroyed because her markets no longer exist. These two things I just never saw a Soviet dictator doing----talking religion and building free markets for merchants. |
