My analogy on "It's easier to believe in Jesus"
Being an ex-Christian, I seek apologists to convince me that turning back from Christ is a wrong thing to do. You can see from my argument at "Misc Religious Disc" of my analysis of C.S Lewis's "Mere Christianity", apologists simply humor me. I failed to wonder why P.hD holders in philosophy continued Christianity, while a proverbial asian urban illiterate like me could see the fallacies of their stance beneath their crafty presuppositions, hypothesis (but rather weak analogies).
Is C.S Lewis the greatest Christian apologist ever? Anyway, back to topic, a Christian posted me on a message board about the simple thing about being submissive to belief that Jesus died for my sins. The problem of Christianity is; the idea itself is already too noble. And many, maybe all Christians, always overlooked their God's hypocrisy in OT, or those chronological loopholes in NT. Jesus died for my sins, how noble. I refute it with just some simple analogy I made today. My little brother bought back two chicks a week ago. And although I could not be bothered, sometimes I take a peek at those chicks. Hell, I have some compassion for my brother's pets (despite the fact he neglected them like toys ). Urgh. The water is filthy, and their little shady box is full of chicky poos. I should clean that box, I thought. The first thing I do is to pick up those chickies and place them somewhere else, and clean the box up. They were terrified, and after some attempt, they bit me. I tried again the next day, wooooo...they stung me like hell. Then, I just made my mind just to ignore the chicks. Even though it may be stinking as hell at times, I wouldn't want to be bothered of my little brother's box. And he's at usual....abandoning them most of the time. You can see that Christians stressed that simple submission to Jesus like how I desperately tried to carry the chickies to another box just to clean their "home". Infidels like us, are like the chickies, they bit you because they thought you mean them harm. I could supposedly roast them up for lunch. And mean us harm, yes; live a pretentious life under some myth that is yet proven, yet convinced by many. The convicted ones are like a flock of sheeps following a wolf disguised as a sheep. (Isn't that from the Bible?! ) I shouldn't bother to interpret what is the ending all about. Oh, I can sense apologetics will flame me because chickies ain't human beings like us The problem is, majority of naysayers are chickies. If this God supposedly exists, I quote Stan Lee (Spiderman creator); He made a terrible job. |

Hi Corgan Sow,
This really sounds like it belongs in Misc. Religion, but if you want to try and bring it around to a moral foundations and principles slant we'll give you a shot at it before moving it to the other forum. cheers, Michael MF&P Moderator, Second Class |
