Default Dependency

I have no idea whether or not this subject has a formal name, but where my doubts on evolution lie concerns the very very small workings of biologiucal system. How did all the parts of the cell, which are all dependent upon each other come about through random mutations. Whats more, how does an animal with a heart stomach liver brain etc evolve when all those parts are interdependant? just lookin for answers thats all.

Your post contains two basic questions, the origin of the molecular complexity that is "life," and the evolutionary trajectory of various organs.

The first question is refered to a "abiogenesis" and the origin of life. This is a very large, and very active area of research.

The second question is more appropriate to the evolution discussion. The easiest responce is to point out that there are millions of organisms living today which illustrate the various stages of organ development. The light sensitive pigment spots on bacterial to the mammal eye for example make one basic sequence for eye evolution.

Some of these weblinks might help you refine your questions into more manageable topics:

And, you can also search this website more much of the information you are looking for as well.

It also looks like you might be thinking about the so called irreducible complexity idea, put forward by certain creationist factions.

Here's a site that discusses this. One thing to keep in mind,is the evolutionary pathway to a structure, like an organ, doesn't have to be a direct one.

The links above will explain things better than I ever could, but I'd just like to stress one thing. Mutations are random, but natural selection is not. In fact, natural selection is the very opposite of randomness. Imagine mutation as a typewriter putting random groups of letters on a page; natural selection would be a text editor that comes through and deletes everything that's not a word. It's kind of a silly analogy, but you can see how it's not random.
