I'm surprised that he did not mention Diablos or rather Satan, himself,being cast out of heaven in the form of meteor.

When I originally bought D2 in 2000 (the day it came out no less), the girl at the register gave me that 'dead-pan fundie trying to protect the masses from the devil' face and asked if I knew that Diablo was a synonym for Satan. A giant bloody demon-head on the cover with the title in flames and pics on the back whose captions read 'hell' etc. etc. quite clearly - how could I possibly NOT know?

Bah, I'd Static/Orb her sorry ass ingame in an instant.

What gets me almost as much as this rubbish is that this chat was taking place on the cooperative players channel. Somehow, that's were ALL the good chat goes on.

You should have pointed out in D2 you destroy (or at least try to destroy) satan. Fundies can't read very well, gotta help them.

My BF and his friends play Counterstrike a lot. There is this server run by a bunch of Mormons (it's one of the better ones I guess), and if you swear at all, you are banned.

So, it's not okay to say, "Fuck I died," but it is perfectly acceptible to pretend to kill copious amounts of people with various weapons! Certainly Jesus would be very proud!

It always makes me laugh.
