Fundy killers
There is a suspected serial killer from Louisiana on the loose that has been spotted in Atlanta:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...804EDT0675.DTL According to witnesses, he preached the Bible while hiding in some flea-motel for a week. Quote:
Isn't that a contradiction of sorts? Last month, K. Reese shot and fatally wounded a police officer during a traffic spot. Also, he was described by a neighbor to be very religious (and outspoken about the Bible and stuff), and the TV report showed his car that prominently displaying a "Jesus saves" bumpersticker. And they say we atheists are evil ... :banghead: UMoC |

Warnings on bibles : It MAY cause irrationality and murder. Just one makes the sentence true, doesn'T mean it's proper to do so though.....
But who the heck said you had to be proper ? All for bible mandatory warnings, say aye! |

from the article ~
"I prayed with this man. I gave him rides," said Valerie Thwaites, a maid and receptionist at the motel. "He was very gorgeous and very kind to me." ...welcome to my world. "To want to be like god is natural, to want to be better than god, that's blasphemy." ~ I forget who...may have been me. |

Yeah, who'd a thunk it...a person that can rationalize ANY action of murder, rape, enslavement....under the auspices of "judicious" as long as it's done by an imaginary mythical god, dreamed up by middle eastern goatherders....their very own imaginary sky-buddy. Yeah, a mind that can do that is REAL normal.

Don't forget about mothers who go and kill their own children. There have been a few of those lately too. It's the deepest, sickest form of insanity I think one can have.
But let me suggest this. People who are so incapable of rational, reasonable deductive thought are all potentially dangerous. The fact that some read a book that glorifies death and destruction in so many ways makes them that much more dangerous and likely to commit a crime. I sometoimes wonder if there is a connection between state sponsored death penalties for baddies and people who think it is their duty to go out and kill certain sinners like a story in the bible might have suggested. |
