Post Quantum Physics and Enlightenment

I was in the middle of yet another discussion about MWI with BobK and went off to find some source material about quantum information theory.

I happened across the following page which is the summary of a book which contains precisely the same message I have been trying to get across to people regarding MWI, conciousness, quantum information theory and the like. And just like myself the author of this book finds himself ultimately led towards mysticism via physics, in this case Buddhism.

Maybe I can provoke some debate in this forum by making the claim that this branch of physics, which includes the booming area of quantum computing research, is indeed beginning to turn up tantalising hints that Buddhism, when stripped of its human imagery, does actually reflect the true nature of reality.

I also wish to make re-make the point that far from being not relevant MWI is the key to an improved understanding of reality, a fact which will remain unknown to the large number of otherwise well-informed people who have not done their homework on MWI and do not understand why the proponents of this theory are so passionate about it.

I'll definitely have a look at this. The bits that I do know about parallels between QM and Madhyamikha are tantalizing.

It could be just semantic coincidence....there will inevitably be plenty who insist that it is......on the other hand it may be that there is something in there.

I think there is "something there" personally but I do like to leave room for doubt and scepticism.

Something is wrong with that link. It takes you to a menu page instead of where i intended. Choose number 42 on the list to go to the document I am refering to.
