The Vatican
The saint factory at the vatican has done it again. This time they have canonized the founder of opus dei, a elitist catholic organization set on spreading the faith.
The silly old man just cannot stop. He has made more saints on his own that all the popes over the last two centuries together. It is a disgusting medieval spectacle which suprisingly at this day and age drew about 200000 spectators. All of this silly pomp and circumstances while on the other side of the earth, because of their stance against contraception, aids spreads at an alarming rate, and so does poverty and ignorance. I always wonder, if a god would exist, what he would think of such a display and abuse of power by his selff appionted representatives on earth. Of-course the pope is not dement, because dixit the vatican, over the 2000 years of recorded history of the catholic church there are no records of papal dementia, clearly the sign that the lord protects the popes against this disease. They forget to mention that they are not exactly unbiased record keepers, and clearly while the lord has protected against dementia, papal greed, murder and incest where by the lord considered to be minor evils than dementia, and therefore acceptable. I am disgusted. |

She said Escriva taught that sanctity can be found in the midst of ordinary life, and that one's professional life is a means of sanctification. She rejected any criticism that his canonization had been very quick. The founder of Opus Dei was canonized just 27 years after his death. "With modern technology, it is possible to canonize people quicker than before," said Ms. Tomski. "But also, I think, it's a special grace from God, because blessed Josemaria has been maligned so much, that God has allowed him to be canonized so quickly." Quote:
