Here is a pretty interesting Link to possible Talmudic references to Jesus.

You guys are a bunch of blasphemers! How dare you even accuse Jesus of using "magical powers" instead of the power of GOD HIS FATHER! Let me ask you this: Why would satan give powers to someone who was coming in the LORDS's name? Because he didn't. Jesus power came from GOD. He was and still is the SON OF GOD and HE is coming back some day. Then you will see that it wasn't "magic" that HE used, but the power of GOD!

Bobby
Did you ever hear of the spoon bending Uri Geller?
He's an Israeli just like Jesus.
Did Uri get his awesome spoon bending power from God or Satan? How do you know?

I have never heard of the guy. I know that GOD didn't give HIS power to him to bend spoons. HE only gives HIS awesome power to those who are fulfilling something for HIM. An example would be Moses. Moses had the power of GOD so that HE could free the children of Israel from bondage and bring them to the promised land. Now, bending a spoon isn't doing anything for the LORD that I know of, so I think that he got his power from a demon. I know that he didn't get it from GOD.

How do you go from not ever hearing of someone to knowing whether or not "GOD" gave him his power?

You don't have to know the guy to know if he has GOD's power or not.

Well Bobby, it seems to me that to be a Christian one must have a lot of trust in the judgement and credibility of the people who constituted the early Christian movement.

If they remember Jesus with a wand, then you should believe it too. Unless you feel that the judgement of whatever pope declared the wand-use a heretical idea for whatever reason more trustworthy than the actual direct inheritors of the lore passed down from the contemporaries of Jesus?

Those who remember JESUS with a wand were hypocritcal. I just came up with a theory that they were paid by the pharisees to say that JESUS used a wand. I know that the pharisees spread rumors that JESUS used satans powers to cast out devils.

Did you mean "heretical"? There is nothing inherently hypocritical about believing he used a wand.

Why would the Pharisees pay Roman peasants to pretend they believed Jesus used a wand? The fact that you prefer a theory you "just came up with" is interesting, would you lose respect for Jesus if it turned out he used a wand?

What is wrong with the wand if it was loaded with good magic instead of bad magic? Since it was used by Jesus, wouldn't you assume that it was a good wand?
