Default Somebody Just Shoot Me...Please...(or "I hate my life!")

I need to bitch...

I'm 32, an atheist, my wife (30)(my first and only love) just dumped me for a 19 year-old pimply-faced poddle-haired convicted felon on probation (which he's about to have freakin' revoked - hehehe...) with an I.Q. of a doorstop and who looks like he fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down...(but "He believes is sexual freedom!" my wife says...I think he'll just say anything he thinks that she wants to hear so he can get in her pants...what, do all women just totally lose their brains at thirty!? Is it a hormone thing...women at thirty are supposed to be at their sexual hormonal peak, so do they suddeny start acting like stupid 15 year-old horn-dog males!?!?!)

Now I'm stuck in bumfuck...er...Illinois ("The Buckle of the Bible Belt!") with no friends and no one to talk to...

I'm haunting the local excuse for a university (WIU in some place called "Macomb") trying to find other infidels, or at *least* some intelligent conversation, with very little luck...

I'm lonely, bored, and depressed.

God (can I say that here?) I hate my life!

Somebody please just fucking shoot me...

- bryce ("Life, don't talk to me about life!") burchett

Bummer.

My prognosis: move to California. California is THE state to be an atheist in. Ha Cali...

Off to Secular Lifestyle and Support, methinks. I'm sure you will get a much better response there.

Oh hell, Bryce. What a bummer.

Look at it this way. If you hang in there, things will turn out good. You see, she will tire of pimply face, realize she gave you up over a hormone fling and regret meeting the little boy. I predict she's gonna kick herself in a few months, if not before.

Meantime, you will have moved on, perhaps found a better woman, or a better life, can you see adventure? What ever you've always wanted to do, but never had the chance, now is your time!

Living well is the best revenge. Become better with her out of the picture, and you will look back as this being a good thing. Meantime, yeah, it sucks, hurts, pisses you off. It will pass. Go travel, take some courses, whatever floats your boat!

Wow, that blows...

Yeah, move to Cali... if you can't... just take a vacation somewhere warm... think things over and try to move on. Pamper yourself for a few weeks.

Look on the bright side... you're a free man now. Go strut your stuff.

Bryce,

Hang in there. Life can be f*cked up sometimes. It super-sucks that your wife is your first (and only, so far) love, because you don't realize yet how great it's going to be to find someone who wouldn't think of dumping you for a doorstop.

I hope you find some local infidels to hang out with. integral domain is right -- Pamper yourself for a while. Enjoy the good things ...

Hang out here at while - there are several IIDBers who live in or close to Illinois. New friends are always fun and exciting - especially when you meet them here!

By the by, I'm moving this to Misc Disc.

Yikes, I'm so sorry! I think Puck has a point. Your wife might come around. Hang in there.

I'm in Northern Illinois. I can't guarantee intelligent conversation, but I'm a good listener. BTW, I agree with your description of our 'lovely' state.

Take care,

Gee, I feel bad that your post got dump twice too.

You might try the pacific northwest. We have our share of fishmobiles, but they generally come from CALIFORNIA

Hey now, can you really blame us for wanting to export them?

*****

Wonkothesane, that really sucks. I second (or third? fourth?) the motion to find something else to do, somewhere else to go, and get on with a new life. Maybe she'll come around, in which case you'll have some decisions to make, but maybe she won't, in which case who needs her? I think that somewhere down the line, she'll be sorry.

I'm inclined to go with the "move to California" advice, if only for the climate, both weather and social. Or the Pacific Nortwest, which I guess is almost as good...
