This is a fascinating thread! What happens if Hovind loses the building case? Does it get pulled down? Does he get fined?
On a side note, how much of a fine or loss would be needed in order to financially wreck his organisation? |

Well, this case is apparently completely unprecedented in the county, so any suggested punitive action would be mostly speculation. I suspect the best case scenario for Hovind is that he pays a fine, he is forced to let the building inspectors check it out, he makes the necessary changes to his structure and he receives a permit. If he refuses to do any of the above I don't see how he avoids jail. I have no idea what would happen to the structure.
Anyway, none of this is particularly revealing information and there wasn't much work involved but I will certainly be paying attention to what happens and I will pass on anything I learn. Anything for the 'cause' I say. |

Kent Hovind is a nut, a right-wing wacko, an NWO type conspriacy theorist.... (he has some wonderfully entertainingly snide things to say about both the United Nations and the Freemasons...) a fraud, and a general fruit loop.
But he's DAMNED amusing. |

Does your state have any provisions that would require "Dr." Dino to pay for his stay in jail? In any even, every buck that idiot spends on a brain dead legal case is just one more buck that will not be used to spread his poison. This really is a win-win situation. |

Hey! I am a newbie here, and maybe it is just the vodka talking, but I have to say; you people have hit the nail on the head with every point you have made! I am an anthropology student at CSU Chico and I have come across Hovind's name time and time again in the creationist literature. It is nice to see a rational bunch, such as yourselves, criticize Hovind for what he really is, a freggin' nut. Keep up the good work people!
Maybe I will have something more important to say when I sober up. Until then... Cheers, Andy |

I just got an email from these idiots that's basicaly the same as the link. apparently the issue isn't settled yet.
Maybe the county could say either pay or have your museum shut down. Hopefully he'll go for the latter option. |
