Prayer/Poem to God
I offer this prayer:
Oh, Joe Hovah, God in Heaven; You are an almighty God, You may be in Heaven or in LA, if you indeed even exist. You promote no compassion, no love, no kindness, just fear and hate. If despite the lack of evidence, you do exist, and you do care. Are you powerful as Moses says? Or are you powerful but don’t give a shite about the sick? You are amoral Joe Hovah. If you do care and weep over our suffering which you caused, but you are impotent to help; You may need to change jobs. Caring impotence, be a Democrat. Omnipotent indifference, a Repubican. Joe Hovah, you have major defects, and I understand why you are a failure. You're contradictory. You can't even exist, Joe Hovah. Logical inconsistencies are lethal. Scripture says you're a violent tyrant. I think its time we voted recall. You will be fired. You failed. It is to the grave yard of used Gods, to join Zeus, Apollo, Mercury, and Mars, to be forgotten except in Bullfinch's Mythology. Then Wilbur replaces you. Wilbur the creator acting by natural methods, physical laws, pops space from the vacuum. He doesn’t conjure, nor chant Magic words, “form and void, Darkness upon…the deep.” Wilbur is non-conscious nature. He can not think or care. He never made a burning Hell. No gory revelation rubbish frightens children’s dreams. No scripture chains the mnd. Goodbye Joe Hovah, the terrible as you join the other gods on history’s rubbish dump. As you fade from memory, your atrocities will be the stuff of mythic lore. Fiach (Domhnall MacPherson ©) |

You posted this same thing three weeks ago. My response is the same as it was then: The Mediterranean gods are not dead, they almost certainly won't let Yahweh be a part of their social circle when he steps down, and I think Wilbur will turn out to be just as shady a character as Yahweh--just you wait.

Some Greeks thought that the Jews believed in Dionysus, and equated some (probably non-biblical) Yahweh stories as similar to those of the Wine God. But they also acknowledged the less tolerant characteristics of Judaism that were different from the Greek religion, and claimed that Dionysus was later replaced by another God during the Babylonian capture. The Greek Pagan testimonies about the nature of early Jewish worship might shed some light on the early Hebrew beliefs (which might not be written in the Bible)

I worried that I had posted it before.
Quote:
Wilbur can't be corrupted because he was created without consciousness, or any human vices. He is most protected from any unfair accusations because he cannot interact in the matter-energy universe. He is confined to the Imaginary Universe. Joe Hovah gets in trouble because even though he is invisible, immaterial, inaudible, improbable and lives in the Magic Universe his more daft followers think that he can enter the matter-energy universe. Then he gets blamed. He is framed, as I did in my poem to illustrate that all gods get framed for human crimes. And none of the poor buggerers don't even exist. It isn't fair, eh? I am going to start a protest movement. "Christians stop bad mouthing your own God." And "Please edit out of the Bible all of the anti-God slander." Fiach |
