He spoke through prophets to foretell events in the future in such detail that it could only come from God. I know that liberal bible critics are discounting this, placing the writing of the prophecies after the prophecies were fulfilled, but I think it is their own bias against the supernatural that leads them to do this. I tend to throw my lot in with the bible scholars on the right wing of things. For example, I believe Isaiah was all written (or spoken) as the case may be, by one man, not two or three.
