Post The New Muslim (Christian) Show

There's a show on our local cable access channel called "The New Muslim Show." It's hosted by a young man who became a Muslim last September, a few weeks after 9/11. I don't watch the show on a regular basis, so I'm not sure if the events of 9/11 have anything to do with his conversion. As I watched this "new" Muslim sit there and tell the world how things should be, I noticed how similiar it would be to a Christian (new or old) doing the same thing. In fact, on this cable access channel, there are Christians doing the same thing.

I recognized certain "catch" phrases used by the new Muslim are ones that would easily be made by a Christian. He made statements like, "people need to see the truth", "people have gone astray from the truth", "the Qur'an" (Christian - the Bible)"has all the answers to life", "the world needs to see the truth of Allah" (Christian - Jesus), etc. It's all the same scam, just different words.

One disturbing side note...the new Muslim has made subtle statements about how America should change its culture. Along with these statements, he's stated that Muslims need to become more visible and active in American culture. I'm not sure what he has in mind but he mentioned establishing an Ummah, which as I understand it, is a Muslim community or society. I assume that this young man would like to see Islam take over the world, in the sense of all world governments being Islamic.
