Hello & Question
Hi everyone. This is my first post.
I've been an atheist for many years, and it's nice to see a forum that supports this view. I'm a big fan of Carl Sagan, Richard Feynman, Stephen Jay Gould, James Watson, Francis Crick, and Nathaniel Branden just to name a few. Throw in some Amazing Randi, Martin Gardner, and Michael Shermer and that should give you a superficial idea of where my interests lie. I'm looking for an paper presented last year at some meeting of world religions, the premise of which was that world peace would be more achievable in the absence of religion. He basically argued for an atheist world view. I don't know the author, the title of the paper, or where it was presented. Several searches turned up empty. If anyone knows what I'm talking about (obviously I don't), please reply. Thanks, Matt |
