Just when the Catholics were getting all the good press...
The fundy Protestants show that they haven't lost that ol' spark. Two ministers beat an 11-year-old boy so severely that he spent the 4th of July in intensive care, with kidney failure. Why? Because he read the wrong Bible verse in church. Try to top THAT if you can, Cardinal Law-unto-yourself! But I'll bet the kid really loves Jesus now.

There's a good thread on this in RR&P (actually it's too sensible for RR&P. Perhaps it should be moved here.)

I think the posts are still a bit on the RR&P side of the fence, and doesn't justify moving it to MF&P. Perhaps you can think of a good way to discuss the topic that would fit into this forum, and start a thread on that. cheers, Michael MF&P Moderator, 3rd Class |

Michael - on second thought, I don't see how that thread could fit in here (or this one). Does any sane person think there is any justification for beating a child to death? Is there any moral issue to discuss?

Hi Toto,
You've got a point. "How annoyed do you have to be with someone before being able to justify beating them to death" might be a good topic for RR&P. cheers, Michael MF&P Moderator, 3rd Class [ July 10, 2002: Message edited by: The Other Michael ]</p> |

I agree with those who say this topic belongs among the rants. It doesn't raise any philosophical issues. Sorry I put it here. I wasn't thinking when I chose the category. I'll make a similar post over there. |

I think it does belong here. S&M is a pleasurable experience; or is it wrong?
Besides, I used to get paddled all the time in grade school. |
