Eugenie Scott & Hugh Ross
Just something that might interest you all ---
Eugenie Scott will be a guest on Hugh Ross's "Creation Update" webcast show on Thursday, 6:00pm Pacific Time. As far as I know, people will be able to call or email in to ask questions. Should be interesting. Creation Update show [ June 11, 2002: Message edited by: Nightshade ]
|

Thanks for the heads up, Nightshade.
I'll have to think of some stumper questions (or rather steal them from talk origins or here). scigirl |

Just in case some people here aren't familiar with Scott and Ross: Hugh Ross is head of "Reasons to Believe" ministries. It's an old-earth/progressive creationist organization (i.e. accept modern geology and astronomy, but reject modern biology (evolution)). Eugenie Scott is head of the National Center for Science Education, a U.S. based organization that fights creationists' attempts to impose their pseudoscience into public school science classrooms (yaaay, the good guys! ) -------------- To scigirl: woohoo! 51 posts so far! 1000 here I come! I'm getting that post count up, aren't ya proud? [ June 11, 2002: Message edited by: Nightshade ]
|

Did Eugenie Scott used to study sharks? The name sounds familiar.

Baugh is founder and director of Creation Evidence Museum, Glen Rose, Texas; scientific research director for world's first hyperbaric biosphere; scientific research director for water reclamation and energized plant systems; and the discoverer and excavation director of two major dinosaurs: Acrocanthosaurus in Texas and Stegosaurus stenops in Colorado. He holds a degree in theology from Baptist Bible College, a Masters in archaeology, and a Ph.D. in education, both from Pacific College of Graduate Studies." |

*bump*
Just a reminder, folks. That Creation Update show will be on (looks at clock) pretty shortly. (6:00pm Pacific Time). I think the show will be saved and archived, so you can listen to it later if you miss it. But you'll miss your chance to email or call in, if you'd be so bold.
