Being omnipotent and omniscient etc... could God kill himself if he wanted? He apparently has feelings such as love and jealousy and must feel pretty bad about sending nearly every person known to exist, to hell, according to the bible. Would it be possible for God to commit suicide, and what would happen if God did kill himself. (if he existed)

I would guess... yeah he could, and the world would remain the same.

That's an interesting question. Suicide is considered evil by most Christians and God is the absence of evil, so it would seem that he cannot do something evil, but then he really wouldn't be omnipotent, now would he? I am interested in any previous discussions on this board of whether or not God can do evil stuff and how that can both fit with being all good and all powerful. I bet it's here somewhere...

This was the basis of Scott Adam's 'God's Debris'. He argued that the only thing an omniscient being would not be able to determine is what would happen after his death. The universe, then, is what remains after God blows himself up in the Big Bang.

I would guess that his omnipotence causes his emotions to supercede any thoughts of suicide.

Besides, he lives in paradise.

YHWH, of course!

If he truly cared about us, then the fact that the majority don't believe/care/love him should probably cause him to commit suicide out of despair, especially since he already knows the outcome.
