Spinoza or d'Alembert.
Or, even more obscure, the brothers Koerbagh, or Meyer or Van Dale. |

That Babtist board is indeed a scary place. It is amazing how bent those people get about anything that is outside of their little creepy little worldview. I just thougth it was funny how the person that mentioned and atheist stamp thought it would be such an abhorrent and absurd idea. I wondered how they would feel about a Satan Worshipers stamp. So I came up with one.
It would be fun to tell them that the USPS is going to issue this in the spirit of religious tolerance. Devin |

How 'bout one with a portrait of Ingersoll, and one of his quotes?
Or just something like: "One Nation, Indivisible" or, "God is Santa for adults." -Mad Kally |

Sent an email to post-it asking, in essence, what was up with his zombie-like conformity to the Mods on the BB.
Other stamp ideas... -an extreme close-up of a tiny golden toilet hanging from a necklace chain, with the words "Praise Elvis!" -"Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Give a man religion and he'll starve to death praying for a fish." - (source unknown) -"Postage Stamps Support Terrorism" |

The problem with...
...acts of violence is the extraordanary effects they have on other wise mild thinking minds.
Condemn the act but do not condemn the people of a religion for a few idiots with extreem ire and hatred against a percieved foe. I think the stamp aught to show the twin towers with a moslim statement for PEACE written thereon. Who would not accept such an affermation of good!? |
